Meet Diane
I am Diane Sherman, owner of Window Designs By Diane, LLC, where we specialize in custom window coverings for the finest of homes. For over 25 years we have served our clients in Long Grove, IL and it's surrounding communities.
Back in high school my mother made me a deal that she would buy me any fabric I wanted as long as I made my own clothes. Well, I took her up on that deal and made everything I wore through college. My first interview suits were custom made by me! That passion for sewing never left me while working in the corporate world. In 1995, I turned that passion into my business, Window Designs By Diane, LLC. Since then I have been designing, fabricating and assisting clients with custom window treatments and accessories.
My first boss out of college said to me, "The day you wake up and don't want to go to work is the day you should find a new job." I have the joy of waking up every day to a job I love. I love getting to know my clients, developing one-of-a-kind designs, assisting them in choosing fabrics, trims, rods, and the perfect blinds and shades. I have never had an unsatisfied client!
I keep up with the newest innovations in the industry by attending educational seminars and trade shows every year. I belong to sereral professional associations and have been on the Editorial Advisory Board of Window Fashions Magazine. I have had the honor of winning three international window design competitions
