About Us

I am Diane Sherman, owner of Window Designs by Diane, where we specialize in custom window coverings for over 30 years in Long Grove IL, and it's surrounding communities.

Back in High School my mother made me a deal that she would buy me any fabric I wanted as long as I made my own clothes. Well, I took her up on that deal and made everything I wore through college. My first interview suits were custom made by me! That passion for sewing never left me while working in the corporate world. In 1995, I turned that passion into my business, Window Designs by Diane. Since then I have designing , fabricating and assisting clients with custom window treatments and accessories.

My first boss out of college said to me. "The day you wake up and don't want to go to work is the day you should find another job." I have the joy of waking up every day to a job I love. I love getting to know my clients, developing one of a kind designs, assisting them in choosing fabrics, rods, trims and the perfect blinds and shades.
