I am Diane Sherman,
owner of
Window Designs by Diane in Long Grove, Illinois,
where we specialize in custom window treatments for the finest
of homes.
Back in high school my mother made me a deal that she would
buy me any fabric I wanted as long as I made my own clothes.
Well, I took her up on that deal and made everything I wore
through college. My first interview suits were custom made by
me! That passion for sewing never left me while working in the
corporate world. In 1995 I turned that passion into my
business,
Window Designs by Diane.
Since then I have been designing, fabricating and selling
window treatments and custom bedding and accessories.

My first boss out of
college said to me “The day you wake up and don’t want to go
to work, is the day you should find a new job.” I have the joy
of waking up every day to a job I love. I love getting to know
my clients, developing one-of-a-kind designs, assisting them
in choosing fabrics, trims and rods and following through to
installation. I have never had an unsatisfied customer!
I keep up with the newest innovations in the industry by
attending continuing educational seminars and trade
shows every year. I belong to several professional
associations and have been on the Editorial Advisory
Board of
Window Fashions Magazine.
I have had the honor of winning three international window
design competitions. |
